Jesus is risen... in the form of an Easter bunny?
as I've mentioned before, I don't know what I believe in terms of religion.
I've always had a hard time buying into all the miracles -- and don't get me started on all the "sinner" talk. And how supposedly homosexuality is 'wrong.' Which I know is the fault of the followers interpreting ancient scripture, but still. How do you know what Jesus actually said? or meant? or really did?
It's just never really added up to me and I have never really understood how people just had blind faith that Jesus walked on water and rose from the dead.
Um. No one else thinks that's a little unbelievable?!
But I've always been really impressed by that blind faith. For everyone I know that is religious, it has provided an insane amount of strength and that is amazing.
I personally just get my strength from other sources. And who knows, maybe I'll be a believer yet. I'm just more of a see-to-believe kinda gal (which is funny because Im actually very gullible!)
Anyway, the main reason for this post is not to rant about how I am not a church-goer, but to bring up how this holiday went from celebrating Jesus' rise from the dead to one of candy-filled Easter baskets and egg hunts.
