Im a terrible person...
Well, that is a line from a Rooney song, but sometimes I do feel like a horrible person (I think everyone has their moments, right?)
I get a little bit sad when awesome under-the-radar, indie bands become super-famous.
That's horrible!
I want them to be successful, obviously. But I think it's a little bit of jealousy that I'm not the one with the secret anymore. And I think that's even more horrible.
I loved them when no one else knew them and feel some sort of claim to them. (Weirdo!)
But the real reason, is really that once they 'blow up,' they're songs are everywhere and become overplayed and it ruins it.
I'm the same way with guys - I lose interest once it becomes easy or 'mainstream'
...like I said: terrible person.
Oh well, at least I can admit it, right??
