Craiglist

Do you ever look at the Craigslist personals?

Sometimes, when I'm procrastinating, or just need a little amusement, I browse through them and they never cease to make me laugh. ...Granted sometimes it takes a while to sift through them all, but you can usually tell the "good" ones (and by that I mean the awful-but-hilarious ones) by the title.

But, tonight when I was browsing through, I couldnt help but think: is Craigslist-ad posting a new form of the booty-call??

So many of them are just a couple lines long, asking for a date that night (!), seemingly without caring who it's with.

And the bigger question: do people really answer them?!

I would assume so, there are always a plethora of desperate, co-dependent people (..but I'm not judging - ha!) out there. But you have to wonder, does it work out? Is it meant to just attract a warm body to fill the space beside them on the couch/at the table/in the car/wherever?

I guess I will never know (hopefully!) but, in the meantime, I will keep browsing and finding laughter at the crazy things people post!
